Moo Moo Signatures Whispering Foliage

A cold front blew in a couple days ago and we have temperatures more seasonal of fall.  While this isn't a fall mani per se, it's about the closest I have to a fall mani to share right now...but hey, to me, it's appropriate for any time of the year!  This mani is one of those rare times I thought to stamp with a colour other than black or white and I have to say, I loved how it turned out!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Moo Moo Signatures Whispering Foliage, no top coat.

Added a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with an image from Creative Shop 26 using MdU 46.  I love, love, love this image...I've used it a few times now although I may not have shared all the mani's!  It has everything (to me!) that I love about a stamping image; image by itself is interesting enough without a whole lot of extra effort like making stamper decal, etc. but it allows the base colour to shine through!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Decided to add a few dots for filler and interest (and you know me, I like my nails busy!)

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I've pulled some fall plates and hope to start sharing fall mani's soon!

Have a great weekend and thanks for looking!

Daisies On Tonic...Polish that Is!

A simple mani like this is what I absolutely love about stamping!  An interesting base, a favourite image and voila, you have some pretty cool nails in no time flat!

Started with a base of two coats of Tonic Polish I Pink You Blue Me Off, shown with no top coat, that I had picked up from the Tonic Polish after sale from Indie Expo Canada.

Applied a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  Ohhhh, that pink shimmmahhhhhhhh!

Stamped using an image from FUN 13 using FunkyFingers Gesso.

Added a few yellow dots for interest.

Topped it off with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on top.

Hope you're having a great week; thanks for looking!

Crows!

These nails were loosely inspired by a book that I read not too long ago, The Tenth Circle by Jody Picoult. I had read it a few weeks before Digit-al Dozen does Story Genres and was going to share it then...but then really didn't think the nails were that relevant to the book so didn't share (if that makes sense lol).  But in the book, the father character recalls several instances when crows (or blackbirds) are present at certain times in his life and that stood out for me when I was reading the book.  So when I sat down to do my nails shortly after reading the book and seen a couple plates with crows of them, I decided to use crows in my mani; this is what I came up with!

Started with a stamper smooshy decal using OPI I'll Have A Gin & Tectonic, China Glaze I Just Cant-alope, OPI Krona-logical, Quo by Orly Nude, China Glaze Tis The Sea-sun and FunkyFingers Gesso.  (Another dogs breakfast look to me lol).

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from Creative Shop 57 (thumb), Creative Shop 31 (index and middle) and Creative Shop 38 (ring and pinky) using FunkyFingers Dark Knight. Can you tell that the thumb is a reflection?  The image barely fit my nails so to me, it's not overly obvious.

I like the look of just these four fingers as to me, it just tells a different story.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Just the four fingers top coated.

I also have to admit; every time I see crows, I always think of Lauri at CrowsToes (Polish); don't you?

Flowers and Birds!

This is a mani I had from the spring but hadn't had a chance to share, but it's still pretty appropriate as we still have flowers, butterflies and robins out and about; here's what I came up with!

Started with a sponged gradient of KBShimmer In Yacht Water, I'd Rather Be With Blue and Sky Jinx.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I made these stamper decals using images from BM-314, UberChic Yay Spring! and Moyra 24-Primavera.

Applied the decals but didn't end up using the UC Yay Spring one (day lilies with orange) as was able to split up the rest of the decals to fit my small nails lol.

Applied a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Loving this nail!

Summer Hibiscus Nails!

Raise your hand if you're tired of me talking about what fabulous weather we've having for the last few weeks!!!  No worries if you are, but in case you care, it's still here!  I didn't do these nails in the last few weeks (when we've been having fabulous weather) but rather, did them the night after receiving my very first ever Polish Pickup order!  I ordered from the July 2017 theme of Cocktails & Mocktails even though the monthly themes have been available since April 2017 (unfortunately, they weren't on my radar until August for some reason!).  The assortment of polishes to chose from is phenomenal and what is really great about them is you don't have to take them all like other boxes.....gone are the days, when you bought an entire 'box' even thought you may have only wanted 1 or 2 polishes.  And the other great thing???  $3 shipping to Canada.  That's right, no typo there....a cool $3 flat fee shipping for us Canucks...that seriously is a great shipping rate and a great incentive for me to place an order no matter how large or small!  That same low shipping rate also applies to shipping in US and according to the website, international shipping is available at cost.   I can honestly say I'm patiently waiting for my August order to arrive....and plotting my September order; based on the inspiration pix and some photo's are just starting to be shared now!

While there were some fantastic polishes received from my order, the one that caught my eye immediately was Polish M Ripped in Rio De Janeiro and I decided to use it right away; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats each of China Glaze I Just Cant-alope with accents of Polish M Ripped In Rio De Janeiro.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from MoYou Trend Hunter Collection 11 (pinky and index) and MoYou Flower Power Collection 22 (the rest).  I had planned on doing the same hibiscus flowers on all nails until I seen it wasn't going to fit well on the pinky, but think the lines were a nice contrast!  And love that you could still see the base peeking through the lines!

Decided to add a couple studs that I had painted with the Polish M on the pinky and index.  I love that I can paint studs to annnnnyyyyyyyy colour I want for accenting!

Finished it off with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Picture Polish Wanderlust

I wore this manicure a couple days ago; I'm so into the brights right now because of the sunny, hot weather we've been having and the brights match my wardrobe so well lol!  It's the summer we never had!  The easy, peasy stamping was perfect for the limited amount of time I had to do my nails....I still like to change them often but just don't have 1.5+ hours every night do do them.....and love that you can do something like this in around 20 minutes (it would be even less if I didn't stop to take pictures)!!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of picture Polish Wanderlust.  When I have no time to do my nails, it seems I always reach for one of these Picture Polish scattered holo's that I love so much!

Added a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using an image from Infinity Nails 84 using FunkyFingers Gesso.
