Summer Hibiscus Nails!

Raise your hand if you're tired of me talking about what fabulous weather we've having for the last few weeks!!!  No worries if you are, but in case you care, it's still here!  I didn't do these nails in the last few weeks (when we've been having fabulous weather) but rather, did them the night after receiving my very first ever Polish Pickup order!  I ordered from the July 2017 theme of Cocktails & Mocktails even though the monthly themes have been available since April 2017 (unfortunately, they weren't on my radar until August for some reason!).  The assortment of polishes to chose from is phenomenal and what is really great about them is you don't have to take them all like other boxes.....gone are the days, when you bought an entire 'box' even thought you may have only wanted 1 or 2 polishes.  And the other great thing???  $3 shipping to Canada.  That's right, no typo there....a cool $3 flat fee shipping for us Canucks...that seriously is a great shipping rate and a great incentive for me to place an order no matter how large or small!  That same low shipping rate also applies to shipping in US and according to the website, international shipping is available at cost.   I can honestly say I'm patiently waiting for my August order to arrive....and plotting my September order; based on the inspiration pix and some photo's are just starting to be shared now!

While there were some fantastic polishes received from my order, the one that caught my eye immediately was Polish M Ripped in Rio De Janeiro and I decided to use it right away; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats each of China Glaze I Just Cant-alope with accents of Polish M Ripped In Rio De Janeiro.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from MoYou Trend Hunter Collection 11 (pinky and index) and MoYou Flower Power Collection 22 (the rest).  I had planned on doing the same hibiscus flowers on all nails until I seen it wasn't going to fit well on the pinky, but think the lines were a nice contrast!  And love that you could still see the base peeking through the lines!

Decided to add a couple studs that I had painted with the Polish M on the pinky and index.  I love that I can paint studs to annnnnyyyyyyyy colour I want for accenting!

Finished it off with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Picture Polish Wanderlust

I wore this manicure a couple days ago; I'm so into the brights right now because of the sunny, hot weather we've been having and the brights match my wardrobe so well lol!  It's the summer we never had!  The easy, peasy stamping was perfect for the limited amount of time I had to do my nails....I still like to change them often but just don't have 1.5+ hours every night do do them.....and love that you can do something like this in around 20 minutes (it would be even less if I didn't stop to take pictures)!!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of picture Polish Wanderlust.  When I have no time to do my nails, it seems I always reach for one of these Picture Polish scattered holo's that I love so much!

Added a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using an image from Infinity Nails 84 using FunkyFingers Gesso.

Pahlish Little Bread and Butterflies

Everyone's been sharing their fall and Halloween mani's recently....we've been having some of the very best weather of this summer this last couple of weeks and I'm still into the summer brights and colours here!  At this rate, I'm not sure when I'll be sharing fall mani's!  Anyway, one of my recent mani's is this highlighter yellow base in Pahlish Little Bread and Butterflies!  I can't believe this hasn't sold out at Pahlish yet!  I get it; I initially passed on adding this to my cart on past order but my good nail friend, Julie, wasn't so obtuse and had picked it up and was loving it!  She told me how much she loved it so I decided to pull the trigger with my last order and have to say, I'm loving it too!   Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Pahlish Little Bread and Butterflies.  The formula was stellar; no issues at all, not even on the first coat as yellows can sometimes be!  My love of flakies hasn't stopped and love the use of them here as haven't seen flakies in a yellow base yet!

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

For stamping, decided to use a polish that (I hoped) matched the flakies and wanted an image that didn't cover too much of the base.  Went with an image from St. Happy by Gogo Only using Mdu 73, which was a pretty good match.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Digit-al Dozen Does 5th Birthday; Day 4!

This was a simple mani I did for day 4 of all things 5 and birthday!  This is a mani using 5 different stamped images!  I don't normally wear hearts outside of Valentine's, but these were the images calling to me which I got down to stamping....particularly the thing and ring finger images!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with two coats of Fair Maiden Polish Seaflower, no top coat, that I had picked up at Indie Expo Canada 2017 in June!

There is this gorgeous pink or magenta shimmer or shift in this polish, which was the reason why I went with a magenta stamping polish but it was camera shy for the most part!

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from Infinty Nails 17 (pinky), Mezerdoo B4 (middle), Mezerdoo B8 (ring) and Mezerdoo 36 (thumb and index) using Hit the Bottle Magenta At Your Own Risk.
